Microsoft is enhancing its Dark mode feature in Word to making it darkest. An update has begun testing by the software maker to Word, which will color whole documents in a dark canvas. Presently, MS Word has a dark mode with toolbars and ribbon, but the canvas stays bright white. The upcoming update to the Word will include the options to switch the canvas into the dark mode, as well.

In the Word ribbon, there will be a ‘Switch Modes’ to change between a light and dark canvas, and different options to permanently disable the dark canvas in Word, as well. The recent Word dark mode update seems to be like what at present exists in OneNote, which has alternatives to switch between a light and dark canvas.
The darker mode is presently available to Office 365’s beta testers; therefore, it would be rolling out in the coming months to all Word users.
